A Bit About Me

Jamari Sharp is a passionate community advocate, accomplished entrepreneur, and dynamic leader with a deep commitment to making a difference. Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Jamari began his journey of service and leadership by joining the United States Air Force shortly after high school. During his seven and a half years in the military, he honed his discipline, work ethic, and results-driven mindset—qualities that laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial and philanthropic pursuits. While serving, he co-founded BAM! Snoballs, a New Orleans-style dessert shop with his twin brother, Jamal, creating not just a business but a community hub that fosters connection and joy.

In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Jamari founded Changing the Narrative Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering opportunity youth by cultivating growth-oriented mindsets and reshaping the trajectory of communities. After separating from the Air Force, Jamari transitioned to corporate America, bringing his leadership skills to USAA while continuing to grow his businesses and nonprofit. As a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, he upholds its values of service and leadership, mentoring the next generation and giving back to his community.

Jamari is also a three-time author, having penned two children’s books, Unleash Your Inner Hero and Changing the Narrative, as well as the self-help book Live on Purpose. Through his writing, business endeavors, and advocacy, Jamari continues to inspire and empower others to embrace their potential and create meaningful change in their communities.
